Bio:
Carlie Wenzel is originally from South Florida. She is a balanced, well-informed, educated artist known for her versatility as well as dynamic abilities within the field of dance.
Carlie has a passion for exploring multidisciplinary artistic endeavors as both a creator and a performer.
Currently based in NYC, Carlie is known for training and maintaining a human body that can articulate techniques fluently at an advanced level in genres and styles such as jazz, contemporary, modern, ballet, hip hop, tap, west African and more. Some milestones from her career thus far include: featured dancer in NYCDA’S Destiny Rising at the Joyce Theatre, lead dancer in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, featured dancer at Mark Morris’ Dance Center Choreography Seminar, Student Choreographer at Marymount Manhattan College, as well as Influencer for lululemon.
Carlie is currently considered an alumni at a variety of well known dance institutions such as: Marymount Manhattan College, Broadway Dance Center, Boston Conservatory, A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Bak Middle school of the Arts and Boca Dance Studio. She so loyally dedicated 16 years of her life to Boca Dance Studio where she really developed the love and passion for dance that she holds true to herself to this very day.
Carlie has been privileged to have had the opportunity to learn and train with an array of working artists in the industry: Mary Ann Lamb, Andrea Miller, Caleb Teicher, Sidra Bell, Sheila Barker, Geoffrey Doig-Marx, Anthony Morigerato, Nancy Lushington, Alberto Del-Saz, Katie Langan, Jan Dijkewel, Pedro Ruiz, Justin Boccito, Lynn Glauber, Billy Griffin, Al Blackstone, Hayden Fredrick, Jojo Gomez, Ebony Williams, Hannah Wintrode, and many more.
At this time, Carlie is employed at Equinox and as a lululemon influencer as she has a passion for fitness, health and wellness in addition to dance. With this great passion for health and wellness, Carlie has recently completed her International Sports Science Association Certification (ISSA). She is a certified group fitness instructor. When she travels home to Florida, she teaches dance for Signature Studios.
Carlie recently received her B.F.A (May 2023) in Dance at Marymount Manhattan College while synchronously receiving a B.A (May 2023) in Business Media Arts management. She continues to learn and grow as she strives to share this knowledge with the rest of the world, all concurrently performed while continuing to develop her artistic and professional career.
